Can we all agree that it's painful to face our biggest fears?
My biggest fear, well, besides spiders and all bug-related images, dolls, clowns, height, and public speaking, among other things, is to be completely honest with myself and, therefore, to criticize myself from someone else's point of view. This process of reflecting on oneself can sometimes be very nerve-wracking and self-destructive.
The recession has hit almost all corners of the country, in every possible way to affect the everyday life of the American people. Companies are downsizing and people are being laid off. Foreign workers with work visas are told their employers are not planning on continuing their sponsorship next year. In the midst of all the negativity, would it be a gutsy decision to leave a comfortable and well-paid job and head for the insecure and unknown as one of "the unemployed"?
